Anti-Cards
In recent years, society has challenged many long-standing traditions, and such significant movements typically affect graphic design, including business card design. This becomes evident when looking at one of the main trends of the coming year - anti-cards.
An anti-card is a card that isn't. Such business cards are created partly for humor, partly to stand out from the crowd, but always to showcase creative abilities. They often include some form of graphic pun related to a specific field, like a reading ticket for a tutor created by green in blue (above, left), or a playful self-joke - just take a look at the poor guy locked inside Ellis Pierce's card (below).
Self-irony and meta-humor are more popular than ever, especially among young people. By acknowledging and playfully highlighting how absurd and silly business cards can be on their own, you can establish a good rapport with a progressive audience and demonstrate your authenticity. Additionally, your business cards will undoubtedly stand out among the more formal and serious ones.
You can create a similar anti-card within the framework of an electronic free business cards, which will be an excellent and original option that comes at a minimal cost.
