Standards for the USA and Canada

In the USA and Canada, the standard size of a business card is 89 mm by 55 mm (or 3.5 by 2 inches). 

Standards for Western Europe

In European countries such as the United Kingdom, Ireland, Italy, France, Germany, the Netherlands, Spain, Switzerland, and Belgium, the standard size for business cards is usually slightly smaller, measuring 85 mm by 55 mm (3.346 by 2.165 inches). 

Standards for Australia, New Zealand, and Scandinavia

Australia and New Zealand, as well as Northern European countries like Denmark, Norway, and Sweden, use business card dimensions of 90 mm by 55 mm (3.54 by 2.165 inches), slightly wider than the American standard. 

Standards for Japan

Japanese business cards, known as "Meishi," have dimensions of 91 mm by 55 mm (3.582 by 2.165 inches). Japan has a special ritual for exchanging Meishi, and they are stored in special leather cases. 

Standards for China

China, Hong Kong, and Singapore use a standard business card size of 90 mm by 54 mm (3.543 by 2.125 inches). 

Standards for South America, Central America, Eastern Europe, and South Africa

Many countries, including Argentina, Brazil, the Czech Republic, Finland, Hungary, Israel, Kazakhstan, Poland, Romania, Russia, Serbia, Slovakia, Slovenia, Ukraine, Bulgaria, Latvia, Mexico, and South Africa, use a size of 90 mm by 50 mm (3.543 by 1.968 inches). 

Standard for Iran

Iran uses a slightly smaller standard card size of 85 mm by 48 mm (3.582 by 1.889 inches). 

International Standards

Although there is no universal international standard for business card sizes, there are several sizes widely recognized in different countries. The ISO 7810 ID-1 size, measuring 85.6 mm by 53.98 mm (3.370 by 2.125 inches), is commonly used for identification and credit cards. Another internationally recognized size is ISO SO 216 (A8), measuring 74 mm by 52 mm (2.913 by 2.047 inches).
