Embossing Methods on Business Cards
There are three embossing methods that can be used to enhance the appearance of paper business cards, making them more attractive and respectable.
Foil Embossing: This method involves the use of foil to apply images and text to the business card. The foil is heated and adhered to the card's surface, allowing for the creation of not only gold embossing but also various other options such as silver, matte, colored, transparent, or holographic embossing. By combining different types of foil, unusual visual effects can be achieved, and business cards with foil embossing have a pleasant tactile quality.
Blind Embossing: This method involves the direct impression of an image or design into the paper using high pressure. This alters the material's density, ensuring that the resulting image remains permanent and does not fade. Both cold and hot blind embossing methods exist, with the latter involving embossing under high heat.
Debossing: This method involves compressing the material between two parts of a stamp and subsequently subjecting it to temperature treatment. This allows for the creation of both raised and recessed images. The stamp has indentations representing the final design, while the other side features a counter stamp. Foil sheets can also be used between the material and the stamp to create business cards with foil debossing. Brass stamps enable the creation of multi-level debossing with varying depths and heights, giving the business cards a 3D effect.
Such e business cards complement electronic business cards excellently, emphasizing their modernity and maximum convenience in use.
